Day #29 Corinne

Day #29 Corinne
My Corinne is amazing! She is so kind and loving. She is funny and full of enthusiasm. And she loves the hat I made. :)
While we were playing cards with family this past weekend, Sadie was being grumpy. Corinne came up to me and said, "Let me take her mom, you go and play cards."
She loves to help and she loves to play with her little brother and sister. I can't imagine life with our her crazy, fun personality!

Thankful Days #24,25,26,27,and 28

Day #24 Snow

Snow! I love the sparkling white stuff. It is beautiful and I really enjoy the change of the seasons!

Day #25 Pie

Pumpkin pie! My most favorite part of Thanksgiving.

Day #26 Babies Again

Holding twin babies for the first time. (yes, both at the same time)
An out of this world experience.

Day #27 Four Wheel Drive

If it weren't for that we would never have made it up to Cub River to cut our own Christmas tree. It is a great family tradition that keeps on going. It costs way more money to drive and cut one down than it does to buy one at the store, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Day #28 Canning season

I am so glad a canned some wonderful fruits and veggies back in September because the tomato soup I made today was wonderful. I love a pantry full food that I harvested!

Day #23 Great IHC Staff

Day #23 - Thank you to the great Phlebotomist at the IHC in Bountiful! The team there kept my son from passing completely out on the floor when getting his blood drawn. He had never had it done before and he had a rough time. I wish I knew the names of the staff there that helped but I am just thankful they are willing to go above and beyond.
Thanks to the wonderful nurse who, after he was done with work, met us at the front door of the office, to make sure Ben made it to the car okay.

Day #22 Sadie

Day #22 Sadie!

She is so much fun, that I am surprised it has taken me until day 22 to be thankful for her. She is funny and chubby and giggly and has this entire house wrapped around her finger. The above picture is her, "I'm gonna give you a hug, Will!" face.

The we have the look at me I am so cute face.

And the, "hey I want to push the buttons on the camera" face.
I love my Sadie! Especially when she wraps her little arms around me and says, "I lub you!"

Day #21 - The Cousins

Day #21 The Kurt Farnsworth Family aka: The cousins

It is so nice to have extended family that I really enjoy. We have so much fun with these guys.
They spent a summer living with us a couple of years ago and everyone thought we were crazy. Even after that we are still great friends. It is nice to know there is someone you can call to come hang out and play cards on a Sunday afternoon, who doesn't care what your house looks like and what you feed them. And someone to go spend 10 days in the mountains with. I am so thankful that they moved back to Utah and only 15 minutes away from us.
Thanks guys!

Where would we all be with out our friends. Good friends stick by you through it all. I have been hanging with the same book club ladies for a while and I love them. We enjoy spending time together and sharing a good, or bad books together. Thanks for letting me be your friend.
Also, my Cookie sister's. Those awesome cookie lee friends that I would have never known if it weren't for jewelry. They are awesome and I can't even imagine not having great girl friends to hang out with. Thanks for all the sparkle.

Day #17 - Whitney

Today is Whitney's 14th birthday!
Today I am so thankful that she joined our family 14 years ago. She is so beautiful and sweet and kind. She is always thinking about others and wants to make everyone happy. She is the peace maker at our house never wanting anyone to argue. She always has a hug for everyone and her funny spunkiness makes us all laugh.
She never has anything bad to say about anyone and she is one of my best friends. We love to hang out and shop. She is so crafty and musical.

And on top of it all she could be a model!
Thanks Whitney for coming into my life and making it so much better.
I love you!

Day #16 - Medicine

Day # 16 Medicine
My 2 little kids got shots today. It has been a while and man was it painful for mom. William cried more than Sadie and so Sadie would do her sympathy cry with William. I am so thankful that we have medicine that helps with that pain and helps mom with the headache.

Day #15 - My Sewing Machine

Day #15 Beautiful Miss Bernina

I love my sewing machine. I am so thankful that she is always there for me and never complains about all the late night sewing projects. She keeps on going even when I sew paper bags and card stock. My daughter sews on the same model at school and when she gets home she loves to test out her skills on Miss Bernina. Never once does she complain.
This machine has been through my side through thick and thin, literally, and the most she has suffered is a broken needle. Thanks Miss Bernina for helping me make all sorts of lovely, and ugly, things for my family and friends.
This is the time of year where she gets the most use as I try and hurry and cram in making pj's, fancy dresses, new curtains before book club, pillowcases, halloween costumes, birthday presents, and perhaps a Teepee all before Dec. 1st.
Thanks my super wonder machine.

Days #13 and 14

Day # 13 Mom
Day # 14 Dad

I had a great weekend spending the time with my family in Vernal. My parents are amazing people and I love wandering around their house learning where I get some of my traits. For instances, I always thought my dad was the neat freak but his nightstand looks worse than mine. (He'll love me for that one) My mom is so amazing and can do anything. We had lots of fun at the Oh, Fudge class at the library. My mom runs that place and she taught how to make fudge. I ate way too much and it was delicious.
Sitting down to dinner we couldn't stop laughing about OMG (oatmeal makes gas). I have hated that abbreviation until I really found out what it really stands for.
Thanks to everyone for making it a great short weekend.
Mom and dad, I love you!

Day #12 - Nutrimill Wheat Grinder

Day #12 - The beautiful Wheat Grinder
I wish this were mine, but it is not. But I use one at least 2 a month thanks to the Church. They have one stored in the kitchen for anyone to use. I dream of owning a beauty like this so I don't have to load everything in the car to grind wheat. I enjoy making homemade bread for my family and the fresh wheat flour just makes it wonderful. I am so thankful that the church thought it was an important investment to have hanging out in kitchen. Also, thanks to those setting up for a wedding today at the church, for not kicking me out while I was grinding wheat.
I know I was kind of loud.
Someday I will have a Nutrimill hanging out in my kitchen.

Day #11 - William

Day #11 William
How can you not be thankful for that smile? After a long 7 year wait, William joined our family. He is such a joy and so much fun. I am so thankful that he decided to come hang on this earth with us. He is so funny and curious. He is a wonderful big brother and wants to be just like his older brother! Today's thankful post goes to William, I can't imagine our family without him. Thanks for always making me smile!
I love you Will!

Day #10 - Cookie Lee

I have been selling Cookie Lee jewelry for about 8 years. The last couple of years have been really slow because of the economy. I took time off to have kids and to just have a break. I am so grateful to belong to a company that lets me come and go when I need. I am back selling and looking for show hosts. I would love to help everyone earn free jewelry for the holidays, plus to be honest, I also need to make money for my kids Christmas. Let me know if you would like to earn some free jewelry. Check out my website to see the new catalog and to place an order! http://www.cookielee.biz/esuite/home/lorifarnsworth

Day #9 - Short commute

Today I am thankful for my husbands short commute.
When is snows big beautiful flakes at my house I don't have to worry about him driving in it. The roughest commute Jason has is making it past Lucy, our dog, before walking into his office. I love that he is able to work at home and enjoy so much more of our kids lives!

Day #8 - Family Picture Day

Family Photo
Beautiful, cold, windy day yesterday made for some interesting family pictures. We took a lot of pictures and this one ended up my favorite. My kids are great posers and I am so glad they were willing to go out in the cold to capture our lives at this moment. We will never be that way again. I will look back at this and think wow, where did the time go.
I am also grateful for the other Farnsworth's who went with us to snap the shot. We couldn't have done it without you.

Day #7- Ben

Ben
I am the luckiest mom in the whole wide world because I have Ben. Ben is amazing, he keeps me on the straight and narrow. Teaching me everyday how I can be better. Ben is funny, and smart, and always willing to help out. He is the best big brother and a great friend to others.
Thanks Ben, for being disappointed in me for going to Wal-mart on Sunday!
Because of you I didn't go!
I love you!

Day #6 Fall Back

I am tired today.
I normally don't like the change of time because little kids don't get it and is makes all the naps at our house get confused, but today I am tired and could use an extra hour.
I spent the entire day at the Utah Women Show at the South Town Center in Sandy. I had a great time selling Cookie Lee jewelry and meeting new women. And now I am looking forward to an extra hour to start my day of rest.
So don't forget to give yourself an extra hour tonight and
I promise better thankful posts to come. :)

Day #5 - Thanks for my crafty side

This week I decided it was time to brush off the crochet hook, after sitting idle for 15 years, and make something. This snazzy head band that Whitney is sporting is the new trend right now and I am having lots of fun learning how to make them. While I have been relearning, I have also been teaching my girls. It is so much fun to sit down and relax with my daughters while teaching them a great skill. I love being crafty and I am so thankful I can learn to do fun things and share them with my girls.

Day #4 - Jason

Jason
Yep, he is the one.
My one and only!
My superman!
My eternal companion!
My best friend!

Today and every day I am thankful for my sweet wonderful husband. He puts up with me! He does laundry, dishes and wrestles with the kids. He makes me laugh everyday. He rides his bicycle like a maniac and still finds time for his family.
He doesn't complain, too much, about all the crazy honey do's.
It's been 18 years and I am looking forward to another 18.
He will never read this so this is my way of telling the world how wonderful he is!

Day #3- Fall

Fall
There is more that comes with this thankful day than just the leaves on the ground but it's a start. I have this enormous tree in my front yard that waits until it snows to drop it's leaves. And I love it. My little point and shoot camera doesn't quite capture the sun streaming through the leaves but it comes close. William and I decided we needed to make a leave pile. I said I was going to get them off the lawn but really I just wanted a pile for him to play. I love this tree!

So maybe this post is about the tree and not Fall. You decide.
It's the little things that make me smile.

Thrity Days of Thanks - Day #2

Produce co-op!

I can't imagine how terrible my family would eat if I didn't belong to this awesome group. Every other Tuesday, the first thing Ben asks me is, "What did we get for produce today?" I am so glad 11 other women enjoy the delicious, fresh, cheap produce as much as me. Today's produce was especially good including lots of my kids favorites like plums, pomegranates, grapefruits and bananas. Yummy, what's for dinner?

Thirty Days of Thanks - Day #1

Leftover Yummy Tomato Soup
Today I am thankful for the tomato soup that I made yesterday after church, from the tomatoes I bottled in September, that I got for free from an awesome neighbor. I never new there was something so delicious.

I have not blogged seriously for almost a year. I did a few small posts but nothing important and I haven't been very consistent. So I have decided that this month would be the perfect month to start blogging again. I will be posting something from everyday this month of what I have to give thanks, and there are many.

Today, it's soup!
