I could live in the mountains. Just me and my family forever and ever. Who cares if I get dirt under my nails and fish guts on my jacket it is all worth it and I wish I could have stayed another week.
This year my sister in law, Marianne, and I decided we were going to spend 8 days camping, 4 days without husbands and 4 days with. I had more fun than I could possibly imagine and I am ready to do it all over again next year.
Jason and his family have been camping in the same area since Jason was a kid. I really feel like it is home. I know every inch of the river like the back of my hand. I know which trees were living last year and which ones got hit by the beetle. (too many this year)

It was warm the first part of the week and then really cold the last part. I am glad Jason came with a hat for Sadie. It was needed even during the day.

Ben was my kick butt man of the camp the first week. He just took charge of the fire building and wood gathering. By the time the dads came he was ready for a little R&R and a little bb gun shooting.

Every year we take a hike to the meadow and roll rocks down the ravine into the river below. Then we make everyone pose for the annual family picture. The kids get older and the trees are getting browner but Jason and I stay the same every year!

This year the meadow hike was a little hard on William as he had to be a big kid and give up his back pack to his little sister. On the way back he just couldn't take it anymore and feel asleep on my shoulders. I am so glad that I have been riding my bike and staying active so I was able to carry him the entire way.

This is a picture of the meadow. I love how beautiful it is. The grass was really long this year so you have to look close to see Lucy, our dog, running in the grass. She is a great dog. She accompanied my super fishing daughter Whitney, and her cousin Em to the river everyday. I never had to worry about them because I knew Lucy would not be friendly to anything that they came in contact with.

This is what happens when you take a potty training 3 year old camping. I washed out lots of soiled undies for my cute kid. I am now looking for a portable washing machine to take with me next time.

William thought it was pretty cool to pee on a tree. This time he thought he would stand on a log and try it. Ben was made that I took this picture until he say that everything was covered.

Corinne got really sick and spent 3 days laying in the trailer. We were so glad when she started feeling better the last day. All she wanted to do was go fishing.

Here are the girls after the big fishing trip. They all caught lost of fish and were very proud of it.

This is our proud fish pile for dinner. Saturday's dinner is always the best because it is fish day.
Yum!
I love fish!
Thanks everyone for catching so much for me.
Dinner was awesome and so was our trip. Let's do it again next year.
