I Love Lucy!

"Ju, Ju, Ju, Ju, Juuuuicccccyyyyy!" That is what Will yells every time he wants Lucy to come play at the back door. We have thought about fixing that screen but just know it will get broken again.
You can pick your nose, you can pick your friends, and obviously you can pick your friends nose.

But there is nothing better than Lucy kisses!

Look who called 911!

Hey little boy, you need to get on your socks, you're going to jail. That's what the police officer told Will after he called 911! What an eventful Sunday. Jason is on his way home from CA and Will decided to play with the phone. I get a knock at the door and Corinne answered it. I hear a man ask her if her mom or dad was home. I was already half way to the door. There standing so nicely at my door were 2 bald police officers. They asked me if everything was okay and I answered yes. Then they said that they think that one of my kids dialed 911. Hmmmm, I wonder what kid that would have been? Well, after a little laugh the officers told Will to get his socks on because he was going to jail. Then they both commented on Will's hair and said they were jealous.
Just yesterday Natalie and I were talking about if Will had ever called 911 before because her sisters kids have and she thinks kids just hold the phone in just the right manner to push 911. I never knocked on wood after the conversation but I guess I should have.
Sorry about the crappy pict. It was taken with my cell phone.

Cinnamon Rolls!

Hey if anyone reads this that would like to join us in the morning for cinnamon rolls come on over. I doubt anyone will read this tonight and want to join us but I always have great ideas too late to do anything about it. I am in the mood to make cinnamon rolls that should be yummy and hot about 9:30 or so. If you want to come you know where I live. If you don't know where I live and want to come I am worried that you might not be invited. Have a great evening and maybe by some slim chance someone might join us for hot yummy cinnamon rolls.

Priceless!

3 late night travelers and treats -  3 million dollars
5 bicycles and gear- $20,000
Buying a can of gasoline from a trucker - $20
Getting to Santa Paula California Safe - Priceless

It is the annual Bountiful Mazada Cycling Club trip to California this week. Jason traveled last night with a few guys. With 3 bicycles on the top of the car and 2 on the back they headed out for an all night drive to CA. After calling me from St. George at 10:30 I was pretty sure they were headed for smooth sailing to Santa Paula. Unless you run out of gas. Sound familiar. Anyway, were in the middle no where and only truck drivers in sight. After asking a few where the nearest gas station was they headed for a good walk. After a few minutes one of the truck drivers drove up behind them and honked his horn. "Hey man, I got this $5 gas can with about $5 of gas in it. What will you give me for it?"

$20 Dollars later they were on their way to the nearest gas station.

Happy Valentines Day!

This is what happens to the balloons at our house on valentines day. I wanted to let the balloons go but Ben complained that it was polluting, which is true. So instead of having the balloons hanging around driving me crazy I let the kids suck the helium. Bad mom I know. Kills brain cells, oh well so my kids won't grow up to be Doctors. I think that is going to be just fine.

My morning Joe!

Let it Snow!

I love this time of year. Everything looks so clean a beautiful. We are on a pretty fun schedule of 6 inchs of snow every other day. I still  like to go for a walk every morning and the snow doesn't stop me very often. William loves the walks and begs to get in his back pack. I am glad I have such great friends who come and join me every day. I walk more for the social than the exercise. We walk the trail that is right by my house. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Book of Mormon Reading Challenge

With the passing of President Hinckley I have accepted a challenge to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days. Thank goodness I got a little head start with my kids this year and have already read a little. I found this great website that will help me chart my progress. I am letting you all know so that you can help me keep on top of things and then I have someone to be accountable too. Do you want to join me? Click on my progress graph and it will take you to the site.

Science Fair

Whitney made the school science fair finals. Her project was great. She wanted to know what would keep my poppyseed bread from sticking in the pan. She tried many different non-stick methods from butter to flour and shortening. She found out that the flour and shortening work the very best. I am glad she did it so now I don't have to worry about having bread stuck.

They kids were all judged in their classes and then 5 from every class were chosen to gone on to finals. She was one of the ones chosen. I was so proud of her. She worked really hard and practiced talking for the judges so much that Corinne could do her report for her. It was great fun!
